How to date yourself

Why is it that we rely on others to make us happy? Isn’t it up to us to do that? When is the last time you took yourself out on a sexy romantic date? Seriously. An opportunity came up this week for me to take myself out on a date. My partner is away, my Airbnb guests will likely be entertaining themselves and I have the entire evening to do something fun on my own. I absolutely LOVE alone time as I need a lot of it, so I am psyched! I used to do this a lot in the past, I’ve always been a big believer of taking care of myself and not wait for others to do it for me. You are awesome, so plan an amazing fun date for yourself too!

I am not a big planner but here is what I am hoping my evening will look like:

1. Take myself out to dinner (Haven’t decided on a location yet, any suggestions?) - I am contemplating going super cheap on dinner but going to a ritzy dessert place afterwards…decisions!

2. Manicure/Pedicure booked at 7:45 (I paid $19 for this – Groupon!)

3. Watching documentary on Netflix (4 months, 3 weeks & 2 daysI am learning Romanian so it is imperative that I watch as many Romanian films as possible at the moment) I’ll be making some homemade popcorn with nutritional yeast and earth balance- I don’t eat that microwave sketchy sodium-filled stuff!

There are so many things you can do for yourself: Walks in the park, beach, taking yourself out for tea or bowling perhaps? The choices are endless. Think of something you’d love to do & do it by yourself. Watch for coupons or discounts to do fun things around town like art galleries, shows, theater and music. You can even just get take out and watch a movie, it doesn’t have to be all ritzy.

And if you’re feeling particularly saucy, use the LELO USB Personal Vibe to end the evening on a good note ;)

GOOD LUCK!
