3 More Luxury Beauty Sample Subscriptions for Canadians

Last fall I spoke about my LuxeBox, then GlymmBox and just recently I found out about 2 more luxury sample beauty boxes available to Canadians! I also found a US one which is all eco-friendly and now ships to international customers!! Honestly, I had no idea this kind of beauty marketing would become so popular in Canada. We now have 4 types of monthly subscriptions available to us for luxury beauty products & now we can receive the US eco-friendly one. Wow! Two of them are sold out right now though!
(TopBox)
I currently have LuxeBox, GlymmBox and GlossyBox subscriptions. I will get my first Glossybox in March. TopBox was sold out so I was unable to get that one right now. There is no way I am keeping all my subscriptions but am getting them all for a few months and decide which two I like best.
I had been disappointed with LuxeBox for a couple of months but the last two boxes I received were incredible. Subscribers don’t always get the same products as I’ve noticed from some video reviews on YouTube. When you subscribe, you fill out a beauty profile so the products are picked for you based on the information you give.
All I know is that these boxes have kept me out of Sephora for the most part and from buying all kinds of beauty products elsewhere. I get everything I need and more. And it’s all the good stuff. Seriously. Right now the cost is a whopping $38/month for three subscriptions. Ouch. Still not terrible for receiving a few hundred dollars worth of stuff. And I actually use most of it. The things I don’t use I keep to put in gift baskets for people. Nothing is lost as I get to share my goodies with friends too.
I agree that purchasing beauty products at a dollar store or drugstore might be cheaper but sadly not better for my skin. I want to be able to get the good stuff but not pay the price and these boxes are definitely the best way to achieve that goal.
All this being said, I travel a lot and many of the products are perfect sizes for travel. Since I get a variety of items I get to try new types of products out and I end up knowing what I like and don’t like. I am not particularly brand loyal and I’m always open to trying everything. If I run out of a certain skin cream, another one pops up in another box. I never run out of product and I also never seem to have too much either which is surprising.
For me, it’s very worth it. For some it may not be. I would say for most people one subscription would be enough.
These monthly gifts every month have kept my spirits up and I plan to do a video of my GlymmBox this week so you can see!
AND FINALLY A MONTHLY GREEN/ORGANIC BOX IS AVAILABLE!! ECO EMI is now offering subscriptions outside of the US! It’s $30/month so a little pricier than the other boxes but you are guaranteed all organic and/or green products. I bought one which I will receive next month. I won’t keep subscribing as I find it a little pricey but I purchased one to check it out and also to share its contents with you. Stay tuned for that.

Glossybox has just upped their price to $21.00 as of November, 2012. Not good after the great review on City Line 2 weeks ago:(
freetobemetoo, I know that GlossyBox has gone up in price but it’s one of the only boxes I am keeping as it is still worth A LOT more than what we pay. Trust me, the other boxes out there are not worth the money. $21 is still manageable for me right now and I always love the contents. Still a great bargain in my eyes.
I get glossybox, Glymm and BeautyBox5…..glossybox has been fantastic but the price change may change my mind although the full size products included do still make it worth more than you pay. BeautyBox5 takes FOREVER to arrive and I’ve only received 1 so far but I did really like the contents. Glymm was a bit disappointing, I liked the products and the full size ones more than made up for the cost but, they’ve discontinued the jellybeans (boooo!) and I’m wondering how many makeup bags I really need, they stopped doing a “box” and now give you a makeup bag…admittedly more useful but still….
