Thrift Store Fashion Haul

Well, here I go again with my thrift store finds! I know some of you really enjoy these posts which is the reason I keep writing them. Sometimes it’s fun to look at other people’s thrifted scores. I apologize in advance for the crappy photos. As you know, I still have an ancient cell phone as I recently talked myself out of spending hundreds of dollars for a new one. Sorry that you get gypped off because of my bad phone too.
HERE IS THE STASH!
COIN Pleated Long Sleeve Blouse: The only Coin clothes I could locate are in Italy. Coin is a large department store in Rome. I was unable to verify if they have their own label but I estimated the price of this blouse to be roughly 20euros. It has a beautiful collar and looks very classy but funky at the same time. I wish the pic turned out better, it’s really lovely and feminine.
WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET Sweater: This is a medium but I still bought it even though it’s too big. I found the fit very nice and a bit loose, perfect for wearing with a pencil skirt or perhaps some bright coloured denim. I love the print on the collar and cuffs. Estimated retail price: $80
I.C.E. Long Sleeve Printed Wrap Dress: The only clothing company I found with the same name is an Australian one but the clothes on their website was not nearly as nice as what I have on hand. I inspected the label inside which is written in english/spanish so this could be made in the USA. The dress is Dry Clean only which means it’s not something you buy for $20. It is mostly rayon with a little spandex and is SO COMFORTABLE! The cuffs are cinched which makes the sleeves puff up a little, great design!
Vintage Black Genuine Leather Crop Jacket (made in Korea): Leather is really in for S/S12! . I only buy leather clothing thrift and am excited when I find it in good condition. This crop jacket is probably from the 80′s (sadly, I’d remember this kind of style and the label is ancient). It has an awesome Asymmetrical zipper too. Since this is vintage, it’s tough to put a value on it but something like this may have cost $100 back then (that’s what I had paid for a leather jacket in the late 80s’) It’s VERY good quality.
Relic by Fossil Black Cross-body Purse: Most of my purses are gigantic because I usually go out with my laptop. But I wanted something small and nice to use when I travel. This is a purse I’d pack in my luggage and bring out when I want to go out and not use my large Lo & Son’s OG Bag. Estimated Retail Value: $60
Vintage Funky Gold Necklace (I call it the Star Trek Necklace). This necklace reminds me of Star Trek which is why I picked it up. I was drawn to it! It was only $1! I could definitely pick up some serious nerds wearing this thing. YES! I do love vintag-y jewelry pieces and this definitely fit that description. For only a dollar, how could I not get this groovy thing? You think it’s from the 70′s?
GRAND TOTAL PAID: $27!!
Not bad for a sweater, a blouse, a leather jacket, purse, necklace and dress! Yes, I am a clothes horse and am always stocking up but I promise you that I donate clothing regularly to charities and some of it goes to the consignment shop so I can earn a little dough.

No, I haven’t. I moved to Florida and it seems that most of the clothing is way out of style and not good brand names to begin with. Same with used furniture. I guess people move here and get rid of their dark, northern furniture and clothing. I’ve been to a few yard sales, but not much there, either. But there’s always that sense of anticipation when I go to a sale; not like shopping at a retail store. One can always hope! Don’t need as much clothing here, anyway, and the colors are brighter. Even up north I never got such good bargains, though!
