DIY Recycled Paper Flower Confetti

When I received my Eco-Emi Box, they threw in a few paper flower confetti pieces made from recycled cardboard. I thought they looked really cool and decided to make my own to put in to the DIY EARTH DAY BOX I am making.

First, I headed over to the craft section of the Dollar Store to get my punch. ($2).

It isn’t the exact shape I wanted, but it was close enough. I didn’t have time to take the bus to the craft store which is in the middle of nowhere, unfortunately. AND I knew that I’d be shelling out at least $10 for a punch there. This punch has a flower and moon shape so when I punch, I get two pieces. I was going to pick out the moon shapes but decided to leave it all together.

Then, I walked around my house and grabbed some thick paper & thin cardboard that I could destroy with the punch. :)

Voila……

How cool is this?

Definitely something I’d like to keep doing for future gift giving: Using recycled boxes and confetti. Awesome and green. Who needs wrapping paper?

Too tired to make your own? No worries! You can support some sellers on Etsy who have taken the time to make them in large quantities. Here are a few:

RUNNING THROUGH THE DAISY FIELDS CONFETTI (100) ($1.50)

PLANTABLE SEED PAPER CONFETTI (100) ($13)

100 LITTLE KRAFT PAPER FLOWERS ($2.25)

ENJOY!
