The Many Uses for Soap Nuts

I finally bought some soap nuts for my laundry and noticed that you can also use them for your dishes! All you have to do is place 6 soap nuts in the muslin bag provided (usually you get some when you buy) and place the bag in the cutlery tray in your dishwasher. When you’re done, take them out and dry them and use them again for the next load. Use them 4-6 times.
The bag I purchased was $13. If I wash my clothes in cold water, I can use them about 6 times for regular loads. If I do this, I get 108 laundry loads out of my bag of soap nuts. 108 loads for $13? Not bad! And with soap nuts, you don’t even need fabric softener!
This works out to be 0.12 per dishwasher or laundry load. WOW.
You know what’s even better?
There are so many more things you can do with soap nuts from making shampoo to window cleaner! HERE is a list of recipes.
