Wow, I haven’t posted in 9 days! Honestly, time is going faster than I could have ever imagined. We’ve had painters in our house for almost 10 days in a row working from 8-10 hours a day. They were finally done yesterday. My realtor stopped by for a few hours to go over some paperwork and there have been people in and out of my house all week for various things.

I’ve also had a bad cold, going on day 5 now. I was in bed for 2 days.

On top of the moving madness, I am also trying to visit the places I enjoy and see a few acquaintances. We have 8 days left before we drive away from here for good and we haven’t even started packing! The good news, is that there isn’t much to bring or pack. As I mentioned, most of our belongings were sold or given away. This is what we have to pack: Dishes, personal belongings and clothing. We figured that it would take an entire day to pack, which we will do this weekend.

I was also interviewed on camera by CBC last week on a product I reviewed on my other blog (as well as this one). Here is the video and story: Dollarama takes cleansing wipes off shelves after CBC probe. (we filmed in my kitchen as it was the only undisturbed room in the house!!)

We have also officially stopped cooking. We are now just heating up prepared foods (homemade) and eating out on certain days. Unfortunately, I won’t have any more recipes for you until I get to my sublet in Toronto.

I’ve also had to stop making gifts. I had a few more to make but unfortunately do not have the time anymore. I’ve warned my friends that they are not getting as many homemade goodies this year. Of course, they were fine with it since they know that my wish of moving came true and that is my main focus right now.

I will be preparing an “apartment box” to take with us. The movers are taking all our belongings and storing it for 2 months until we find a nice loft to purchase and we will need a box of emergency supplies for the sublet. If I have time, I will share the contents of my “apartment box” which will contain various items needed when moving into a new place. It’ll be a box of necessities such as cups, dishes, laundry soap packets, mini sewing kit…

In the midst of all of this, I also won a $250 gift card my last Glymm Box (monthly subscription beauty box). I was very happy about this! I am also behind in recording videos, I now have 6 to record but may only end up doing 3. (this is for my other blog). Making one video usually takes an entire afternoon because of editing.

As you know, I do not celebrate the holidays therefore I am not stressed over decorating, gifts and making food but I will be very busy packing!
